Hi, it's been a long time!
It's been a great year for me, as a performer, with appearances at Chester Folk Festival last May, two gigs at the Wirral Folk Festival in June and a further two appearances at the Golowan Festival later thaty same month! whilst still in Cornwall, I managed a further few appearances around the Penzance Folk Scene and also returned in September where I made a few appearances in St. Ives, also ran the Folk Stage at the Well Inn Festival in Holywell. Last year saw the release of my second album, the first batch of which sold out very quickly. I now have further copies of 'Four Leaf Clover' for sale at £8.00 including postage. Get in touch should you want a copy! The Club I run at the Cross Keys in Llanfynydd, LL11 5HH, is going well. Come along, every Tuesday at 8:30.
This year sees me at the Diversity Festival, in Connah's Quay, Chester and Wirral Festivals, again and I'm hoping for a further Golowan appearance! Well Inn is also on the cards, too!
Take care, everyone!

Well, I don't seem to be very good at updating this website. However, hot news is here! I have just completed the recording of my second CD which should be available in time for the Wirral Folk Festival. Entitled "Four Leaf Clover", it contains mostly self-penned songs and a couple of favourite songs from my repertoire.
Gig wise, I 've just been in Holywell at Greenfield Park, for the Denbigh and Flint Countryside Festival. There'll be a chance to see me around Chester Festival on the Bank Holiday weekend and following that, I've two appearances at the Wirral Folk Festival on the 4th to 7th of June at the Whitby Sports and Social Club in Ellesmere Port. Two more appearances are at the Golowan Festival in Penzance, Cornwall. The first on Mazey Day 27th June and again at Quay Fair Day, 28th June!
In September, I'll be running the Folk Stage at the Well Inn Festival, with my good friends Dawn and Alan Hesford. Watch this space for more news!

Back now from Penzance, where I had a great reception at the Bath Inn as their guest for the evening. Did around an hour's set which I, and they, enjoyed very much.
Mazey Day stint outside the Greenmarket was another good gig too! Revisited the Bath Inn for a shorter set on the Sunday and the Admiral Benbow on the Wednesday night and you thought I'd been on holiday!
Back to reality, with the Cross Keys, Llanfynydd Club going along nicely.
August 13th sees me once more on James Blatchleys Folk show, on Chorley FM. This is the appearance that was postponed from May. Hope you'll all listen, if you can!

Been busy writing, playing and singing.
Tuesday nights at the Cross Keys, Llanfynydd are getting busier, slight problems with my weekend gigs there, though. Weather and rugby have got in the way!
Had a good gig at the Folk Club in St. Mark's Church, Saltney on Saturday and prior to that, provided music for the Movement Centres annual presentation day!
Coming up 30th April, Cross Keys, Llanfynydd, an hour of Donovan stuff.
14th May, I make my second appearance on Chorley FM radio station. (If you're not in the Chorley area, you can catch it on the internet).
Wednesday 26th June, you can catch my gig at the Bath Inn, Penzance and again on 28th June, Mazey Day, I'll be playing the folk stage from 2:30 til 3:00!
Lots more to follow!

Hi. Just to catch up on what's happening in the World of Warby. Been busy writing new materila for the next album. It's not been as easy to come up with new ideas, so it's been a long time in the making! However, I'll try and get the new album out for the summer! Talking of which, I'll be at Wirral folk on the Coast Festival Thursday 6th June to Sunday 9th. Then I'm playing at the Bath Inn, Penzance, for their Golowan Week guest night! Prior to this I'm found every Tuesday at the Cross Keys, Llanfynydd and Thursday nights at the Hungry Horse Folk Club in the Whitby Sports an Social Club, Ellesmere Port. I'm also playing at a Charity do in Hoywell, in aid of St. Patrick's.

As I've not been on here recently, I suppose I'd better tell you what's been happening. This year's been quite busy for me, as in February of this year I took over the running of the 'Cross Keys, Llanfynydd, Folk Club" as Dave Petie, who was running the club 'til then, got a job working up in the Northwest of England and isn't at home during the week! the club has grown in number and we tend to have guest nights at the end of every month. Look us up on Facebook! Cross Keys, Llanfynydd.
Personally, I've been involved in a few things this year. Chester folk Festival was a singaround thing, Wirral Folk on the Coast, where I did a 3/4 of an hour's Concert in the lounge. Penzance's Admiral Benbow, the Pirate Inn and the Kettle and Wink in St. Ives kept me busy for the holidays and I was elected Mock Mayor of Penzance in my 'Cap'n Fantastic' alter ego!!
Played at 'The Movement Centre's' annual prizegiving. They work with children with cerebral palsy and do a wonderful job. from there, I was invited to play at Benjamin's birthday party, which went well.
I also helped set up and run 'Folk in the Hills'. a one day gathering of folk musicians in Treuddyn Village Hall.
On Sunday next, 23rd. December, I'm appearing at a charity gig in the Abbot's Arms, Holywell, to support the victims of the St. Asaph floods.
Take care everyone, see you soon!

I've ended up doing two radio shows in a three week period!
Firstly Had an hour with Stan Ambrose on Radio Merseyside, 'Folkscene' programme, where I gave an interview and Stan played tracks from the album 'Magical Waters'
Then, this last Tuesday, went up to Chorley to hav another interview with James Blatchley, where I played four live tracks, three of which are not yet available and Jamie played three tracks from 'Magical Waters'. Exciting times for me!

Due to there being a singer/songwriter John Warburton, hailing from across the pond AND a comedian who shares my name it looks like I'll be performing as Jonathan Warburton from now on. It won't affect me, I promise I won't become unapproachable!!!

Had a storming time on Saturday!
First did a forty minute slot at the Treuddyn Village Festival. Then went down to Welshpool where I sang songs old and new for a two hour gig for the Welshpool and Llanfair light Railway. Excellent!
